Our Story
Harris Cars isn't just a dealership, it's a family tradition. What started as a shared dream between Frank and Tommy Harris has grown into a three-generation legacy built on hard work, reputation, and a commitment to treating customers the right way.
In 1995, Frank and Tommy opened Harris Cars in the Gold Building on Independence Boulevard. They didn't start with a large inventory or a corporate backing. What they had was a strong work ethic, a belief in treating people fairly, and a determination to build something that would last. Every vehicle sold and every customer served helped lay the foundation for what Harris Cars would become.
Frank had a passion for cars and believed a person's word still mattered. Tommy shared that belief and focused on building long-term relationships with customers. Together, they understood that earning a customer's trust was important, but keeping it was what truly mattered.
As the business grew, Tommy became known for his commitment to customer care and service after the sale. He believed that selling a vehicle was only the beginning of the relationship. That philosophy helped build a reputation that has followed Harris Cars throughout the community for decades.
Today, Thomas Harris leads the next generation of the business. While the automotive industry continues to evolve, the principles that built Harris Cars remain the same: work hard, treat people fairly, stand behind your word, and never stop improving.
